Jason Bourne Kills 3 in Henderson Nevada, Dies in Police Shootout

A Jordanian woman, identified as Diana Hawatmeh, 39, and her son Joseph, 12, have been killed in Henderson, Nevada in the United States, announced the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Daifallah Alfayez Thursday.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jason Neo Bourne, opened fire at their family home and kidnapped the boy who later died during an officer-involved shooting.

Police officers arrived to the scene of the crime to find the bodies of two females and a 16-year-old female injured. The teenage girl was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The police located the armed suspect hiding behind a vehicle, where an exchange of fire took place when the suspect held his gun to boys head, resulting in the killing of the suspect and the boy.

According to a letter by the Skaggs Catholic Center, Diana was a substitute teacher and her son was a seventh grader at the Saint John the Baptist Middle School. She also taught Zumba to faculty members. Her husband and eldest son were not involved in the incident, it read.

Police revealed the suspect lived in the apartment above the family's home.

Investigations are underway and the Jordanian Embassy in Washington is following up on the case with local authorities and other family members.
