Long lines on day one of early voting in battleground state of North Carolina

Voters flocked to polling stations in North Carolina on Thursday (October 15), the first day of early voting in the state.

Long lines were observed outside polling stations before the scheduled opening time.

Footage recorded by Ashley Harrington (@Fn00b) shows a long queue of voters at Durham South Regional Library in Durham at 7:55 am local time.

A timelapse by @EatingTidePods shows the lengthy queue formed at Talley Student Union in Raleigh at about 8 am local time.
