Thousands of people gathered in Bois de la Cambre, a Brussels public park for a “LA BOUM” party in defiance of Belgium’s COVID-19 lockdown, an event that began as an April Fool’s joke through Facebook.

Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowd and arrested more than 10 people.
