Pair accused of luring children at gas station

Two adults are accused of attempting to lure children at a Chevron gas station on Three Notch Road in Mobile.

A clerk at the gas station said the two adults could be seen in surveillance footage trying to entice two young boys.

The clerk said the woman tried to buy them ice cream and candy, but she didn't have any money. The clerk also said the woman was touching the boys inappropriately, running her fingers through their hair and hugging them.

A parent of one of the alleged victims posted about the incident on Facebook, warning other parents. She said the two adults approached the boys again while they were on their way back home.

Douglas Jones, 56, and Tosha Slack, 41, are listed in Mobile Metro Jail with two counts each of enticing a child to enter.

Slack was also charged with two counts of sexual abuse in the first degree.

Police have not confirmed whether or not Jones and Slack were the suspects seen in the gas station surveillance video.
