11 GOP sees American deaths as acceptable losses in order to get back to business
In a stunning admission, GOP Congressman Trey Hollingsworth admitted that letting some Americans die is acceptable if the economy is reopened. Calling harm to the economy more devastating than loss of life, he states in rather clear terms what Trump and the GOP have been signaling for some time. I wonder which of his relatives dying would be acceptable?
Engaging in harsh policy making (involving death of a segment of the population) by citing that the action is taken for the betterment of the majority of Americans, the GOP is firmly on the slippery slope to oppressing any group if the people benefitting outnumber those oppressed. The natural consequences of such policies are frightening.
