The issue of energy production, and consumption, in the United States at least, shouldn't be a Liberal/Conservative one. It's really a matter of common sense.

As a species, we should have been developing viable alternatives to fossil fuel consumption, all tailored to needs, since we discovered that wood wasn't the only source of available energy.

Now, with the global economic hard times we all face, perhaps it's as good a time as ever, to not only manufacture fossil fuels for designated uses, but to further develop the wide range of available sources that technology allows us to exploit.

What do you think?

(Sorry if the quality's bad, I'm playing with a new editor.)
