Norwegian fortress in present day Sweden

13th century Norwegian fortress in present day Sweden. This was built back when Norway was the strongest Nordic country by far - when Swedes had to go to Norway to learn about the world.
Why do tourists go and visit 'Machu Picchu' in South America that was built in 1450 and not this Norwegian fortress that was built in the 13th century? It doesn't really make sense at all.

Swedes started to demolish this fortress in the 17th century but some of it still remains.

Then the black death came and destroyed the kingdom of Norway
