Greater Athens is experiencing a rare heavy snowfall as the cold front “Medea” sweeps through Greece.

Drone footage recorded by @EconomidisStav on Tuesday (February 16) at around 7:00pm local time shows Kaisariani, a suburb in Athens, blanketed in snow.

Residents are asked to avoid non-essential travels and comply with COVID restrictions during their ongoing two-week lockdown period.
