This is the moment residents watch as a landslide sends a torrent of muddy water rushing past the front of their building sweeping away numerous parked cars.

The incident was recorded by homeowners in the city of Sanming in China’s eastern Fujian Province, where continuous heavy rainfall had caused the local Shaxi River to overflow.

The footage from 9th June shows water rushing downhill behind a residential area, sending witnesses running for their lives as they find themselves in the way of the water.
