A Queensland police officer has thanked a member of the public for helping him arrest a man who tried to flee after he was allegedly caught with dangerous drugs on the Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast Entertainment Precinct Group officer on a trail bike was about to arrest a 40-year-old man from Labrador just after 9pm on Saturday.
The 40-year-old man from Labrador was charged with one count each of possession of a dangerous drug and obstructing police.
He will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
