Restored PT Boat docked in New Orleans, and open to the public. PT-305.

This is a Higgins PT Boat manufactured right here in New Orleans, and painstakingly restored here at the National WWII Museum. This boat is PT-305. The public wasn't allowed below decks unfortunately, too many trip, and head bump hazards I guess. This boat served in the Mediterranean, and it sunk 3 German warships before the end of the war. My grandfather was an accountant for the Higgins company during WWII. He was middle aged, and had four kids at the outbreak of the war, so he did his part in the war effort by working for Andrew Higgins making war ships.
