A car knocked down a Chinese tourist to death

In St. Petersburg, on the embankment of the Griboedov Canal, on Wednesday morning, a car driver got into an accident with a crossover, took off from the roadway and hit a pedestrian.

The victim was a 56-year-old tourist from China. The traveler died at the scene.

According to preliminary data, the 53-year-old driver of a car who tried to slip into the red traffic light was to blame for the accident. The crossover was driving on green, and the man sitting at the wheel of a man did not see the rushing sedan because of the van obscuring the view.

A criminal case has been opened under the article “Violation of the rules of the road, resulting in the death of a person by negligence."
