State trooper violated policy of frisking woman without cause

A state prosecutor is criticizing the actions of a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper accused of groping a Campbell County woman he twice pulled over within three hours as “inconsistent with his training” and his agency’s own rulebook.

Eighth Judicial District Attorney General Jared Effler, whose district includes Campbell County, initiated a review of State Trooper Isaiah Lloyd’s actions after made public last month a lawsuit against him.

Patricia Aileen Wilson alleged in the lawsuit Lloyd searched her without legal cause, groped her during that search and then laid in wait to stop her a second time three hours later.
