Tuscaloosa County deputies stop "Most Wanted" suspect

The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dragged by a car while pursuing a suspect early Friday morning in Northern Tuscaloosa County.

Public Information Officer Jason Powell said two deputies were making a routine traffic stop in the Samantha community when they realized the driver was one of Tuscaloosa's Most Wanted.

Powell said the deputies were attempting to arrest the suspect when he tried to flee and ending up dragging the deputies with his car.

Both deputies were taken to DCH Regional Hospital in Tuscaloosa to be checked out. Powell said they are both expected to be fine.

nvestigators say Hunter Waldrop, 25, faces a series of charges in connection with Friday's incident.
