It was taken Aug. 25th on the Delphia fire near Musselshell MT. We were patroling fire line when this took off. It lasted at least 5 minutes. I stopped filming when spot fires started flaring up but it continued on for several minutes after the video. Carteret County deputies say it happened around 1:00 p.m. Sunday on Highway 70 and English Street in Newport. It's there that investigators say that a family of three, which included a toddler, drove away from the scene after the driver fired several shots at another vehicle. That driver is accused of road rage which started on Highway 70 in the James City area of Craven County and led up to the shooting in Newport. The family is said to have fled the scene in an ash or grey colored SUV. The video captures the moments right before deputies say shots were fired into the pickup truck. It shows a man getting out of the SUV and asking the other driver why he tried to run him off the road. The man then punched the driver and the fight spilled outside with a passenger in the pickup helping his friend. The fight continued until the woman in the SUV came out with a handgun, and gave it to the SUV driver. No one was hurt by the gunfire. The video appears to have been recorded with a cell phone by a passenger in the pickup truck.
