Cops: Woman's Testicle Clawing Left Boyfriend "Bleeding From His Genital Area"

During a domestic dispute early yesterday, a South Carolina woman allegedly clawed the testicles of her naked and drunken live-in boyfriend, who was left "bleeding from his genital area," police report.

The confrontation between Nicholas Bailey, 31, and Sabrina Morton, 26, began after Bailey returned to the couple's Spartanburg home intoxicated. The pair tussled when "Bailey went and laid down in the shower," according to a Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office report. Morton told officers that mutual pushing and shoving resulted in a chunk of hair being pulled from her head by Bailey. "In return she grabbed Mr. Bailey by the testicles causing laceration and bleeding," cops noted.

When police arrived at the pair's residence, Bailey, sitting naked on the couch, "advised that he was bleeding from his genital area due to Sabrina Morton clawing his testicles. EMS was called for Mr. Bailey's injuries."

Bailey and Morton were charged with domestic violence and booked into the county jail (where they posed for the above mug shots). They were each freed from custody yesterday morning after posting bond.

SPARTANBURG, South Carolina (WYFF) -- The mother of a South Carolina middle school student who was being suspended is facing charges after deputies say she walked into the school office and slapped the wrong child.

Fairforest Middle School Principal Ty Dawkins called deputies to the Spartanburg County school on Wednesday morning.

Dawkins said that 36-year-old Tyshekka Collier had come to the school to pick up her son, who was being suspended.

When Collier walked into the office, she saw a boy sitting in the office with his head down, and she mistook him for her son and slapped him in the face. Dawkins said the boy was sick, and was sitting on a couch waiting for his mother to pick him up.

Dawkins said once Collier realized she had slapped the wrong boy, she apologized, and then walked over to her son and began to slap him for getting in trouble.

Collier was arrested and charged with disturbing school and two counts of assault and battery.

COLUMBIA, S.C. - Authorities have charged a South Carolina woman with
felony animal cruelty, saying she hanged her nephew's pit bull from a
tree with an electrical cord and burned its body because the dog chewed
on her Bible.

Animal control officers said Monday that 65-year-old Miriam Smith
told them she killed a female dog named Diamond because it was a "devil
dog" and she worried it could harm neighborhood children. Authorities
said bond wasn't immediately set for Smith, who remains jailed in
Spartanburg County after her weekend arrest.
Officials said she didn't have an attorney yet.

She faces 180 days to five years in prison if convicted.

Authorities say the remains of the dog were found under a pile of grass with part of an electrical cord around its neck.

From staff reports

Published: Monday, July 19, 2010 at 2:10 p.m.
Last Modified: Monday, July 19, 2010 at 2:10 p.m.

A 39-year-old Spartanburg woman with a long criminal record was arrested Sunday after she was accused of stuffing a McDonald's sandwich down her pants and then screaming at a restaurant employee that she was cheated out of the second sandwich she ordered.

Lori Shannon Turner of 7136 Asheville Highway, RM 114, was charged with public disorderly conduct and released from jail Sunday evening on $262 bond.

Around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, a Spartanburg County sheriff's deputy responded to a disturbance at the McDonald's at 500 Hearon Circle. When the deputy arrived, a McDonald's employee stated that an intoxicated woman was causing a disturbance inside the restaurant.

According to an incident report, Turner ordered two sandwiches and two small coffees. When a cashier gave Turner the bag with the sandwiches while her coffee was being prepared, the report states, Turner took one of the sandwiches out of the bag and stuffed it down her pants.

The employee told the deputy Turner then claimed she was shorted one sandwich, and began demanding another free one. When the store refused, the report states, Turner got belligerent so an employee called 911.

The deputy reported that when he arrived on the scene, he heard Turner screaming at the cashier to "give me the (expletive) sandwich." When the deputy noticed a large grease stain on the front of Turner's pants, he asked Turner to remove the food but Turner said she didn't have anything in her pants, according to the report.

A female officer was called on the scene to search Turner, who then reached inside her pants, removed the sandwich and placed it on the hood of the officer's patrol car, the report states. The deputy reported that Turner, who had a strong odor of alcohol on her, continued shouting profanities in front of other patrons, including several small children.

Turner's criminal record since 2008 includes charges of assault, shoplifting, forgery, resisting arrest, petit larceny, two counts of public disorderly conduct and four counts of inhaling aromatic hydrocarbons.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office says Harrison and another man approached a woman after arriving in a pickup truck at her home on Crawford Road Tuesday afternoon.

Two Boiling Springs teachers are facing charges after deputies say they threw parties for teenagers that involved alcohol, marijuana and sex.

Sarah Jane Lindsay, 42, of 438 Maplecroft St., and Audrey Beidleman Grabarkiewicz, 44, of 230 Sandy Drive, were taken into custody by Spartanburg County sheriff's deputies Monday. Police had been investigating since a parent came forward with a complaint in July.

Lindsay, a teacher at Boiling Springs Elementary, is charged with nine counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and criminal sexual conduct with a minor between 11 and 14 years old.

Grabarkiewicz, a preschool teacher at Lake Bowen Baptist Church, is charged with 10 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Investigators said Grabarkiewicz also had "sexual relations with some of the victims," but, because they were older than 16, she will not be charged, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.

Sheriff Chuck Wright said during a news conference that the incidents happened at parties at the teachers' homes this summer and not at their places of work. The women are parents, but deputies said their children were not involved.

"As a parent, I would be absolutely livid. ... I would be absolutely beside myself if someone was doing something like this with my kids," Wright said. "This is absolutely unacceptable."

The employers of both teachers confirmed the women will no longer continue working in their jobs.

The Rev. Mark Williams, pastor of Lake Bowen Baptist Church, said Grabarkiewicz was fired from the church on Monday. He said the church will send a letter to parents with children in the church day care in which Grabarkiewicz worked.

Williams reiterated that none of the crimes Grabarkiewicz is accused of committing occurred on the church campus.

"The personnel policy reminds all of our employees that they are ... expected to conduct themselves as church employees both during their work schedule and in their private life," Williams said in a statement. "We expect that the teachers working with the children meet a higher moral standard because of their employment in a church-related program."

Rhonda Henderson, spokeswoman for Spartanburg County School District 2, said Lindsay resigned Monday. She said Lindsay was a 4K teacher and has been an employee at Boiling Springs Elementary since 2005.

Henderson said Lindsay's class will be taken over by a substitute teacher and an assistant who has been with the class since the beginning of the school year.

"Our primary focus at this time is caring for students and making the transition process as smooth and unobtrusive as possible for the class," Henderson wrote in an e-mail. "The school will be communicating with parents about plans for the class. None of the incidents occurred on school property."

Wright said he believed there could be more victims. He encouraged parents to speak with their children.

"We always try to make sure that we don't miss any victims," Wright said. "We want to send a clear message to anyone who would contribute to the delinquency of a minor. That is, don't ask for mercy, because we're not going to give you any.

"Too many of our children are dying on our roadways because they're under the influence of alcohol or drugs provided to them by someone older." Wright added. "This has to stop."

The sheriff's office is asking anyone who has been a victim in this case to call 864-503-4592.

Lindsay and Grabarkiewicz were awaiting a bond hearing at the Spartanburg County Detention Facility scheduled for 2 a.m. today.

South Carolina trooper arrested for DUI was wearing a dress(1:36)

A South Carolina Highway Patrol officer is off the job after being arrested under bizarre circumstances on Wednesday.

Officials say trooper Leslie C. Hoover was pulled over on John Dodd Road in Spartanburg County under suspicion of DUI. This came after a motorist called 911 to report Hoover's personal vehicle, an Isuzu Rodeo, swerving erratically on Insterstate 26 about 6:40pm in heavy rush hour traffic. The SC Department of Public Safety says Hoover refused a breathalyzer and failed a field sobriety test. He was charged with driving under the influence.

Thursday morning, Hoover appeared before a magistrate and was released on his own recognizance. But his appearance when he entered the jail has stirred more discussion than his legal troubles.

A high-ranking official who wished to remain anonymous tells News Channel 7 he saw Hoover brought into the jail "wearing a red dress". He says Hoover was also wearing a bra and was seen "adjusting his bra" while he waited to be processed. And he says the shamed trooper had a pair of thong panties "in his possession".

That would explain statements made by the man who made the 911 call on the interstate. The driver, who asked not to be identified, said Hoover "appeared to be wearing a blonde wig" when he came flying past him near exit 22. On a recording of his 911 call - which was obtained by News Channel 7 - the man refers to Hoover as "she" several times.

"Yes, I'm on interstate 26 heading west at exit 22 and there is a red, I think it's an Isuzu or a Rodeo, and she - I think it's a she - is weaving all over the road," says the caller on the 911 tape.
Dispatcher: "Do you think she's intoxicated or....?"
Caller: "I can't tell but she is weaving all over the road!".

Sid Gaulden, spokesperson for the Department of Public Safety, says Hoover is from Lexington County and was on his personal time when he was arrested. He says Hoover was terminated Thursday morning. He had worked for the Highway Patrol for 30 years. He says Hoover retired in 2000 but came back to work in 2002 as a member of the patrol's Insurance Enforcement Team. The team works with the Department of Motor Vehicles to seize license plates from car owners who have allowed their insurance coverage to lapse.

"They are part-time employees but they have the same authority to conduct traffic stops and issue citations as a full-time state trooper," says Gaulden. He says Hoover did not have any disciplanary actions against him as a patrol officer from 1976 to 2000. But after he came back in 2002, he had to attend one counseling session for "negligent operation of a state vehicle". Gaulden says that stemmed from an incident in which Hoover rear-ended a civilian's vehicle. He says "there was no indication alcohol was a factor" in that crash.

The man who called 911 raises another interesting issue: he says another state trooper could have stopped Hoover before he called 911 but did not pull him over. He says as Hoover's vehicle swerved all over the road near exit 22, a state trooper in an SUV pulled "right up behind" Hoover and followed him. He says at the time, Hoover's vehicle was straddling the divided white line that separates lanes.

"I really thought (the trooper) was going to pull him over because he was clearly weaving," says the caller. "But he just went right around him and took off real fast like he was in a hurry."

He says as the trooper was going around Hoover's vehicle, Hoover swerved off the shoulder of the interstate.

"I thought that would have been obvious enough for the trooper to notice that but I guess he didn't," says the man. He says minutes later, after he saw Hoover almost collide with several vehicles, he picked up his cell phone and dialed 911.

We informed Department of Public Safety of the man's statement about the trooper failing to pull over Hoover. Gaulden said they were not aware of the scenario "but we will investigate it fully" to see if it was indeed a state trooper who pulled up behind Hoover and if so, why they opted not to pull him over.

A 22-year-old North Carolina man is facing shoplifting charges after
he allegedly stole an inflatable sex doll that looks like pop singer
Miley Cyrus.

Officials in Spartanburg, S.C. arrested Benjamin Greene after an employee at Spencer's Gifts reported seeing him tke a doll from the shelf ,
remove it from the box and hide it in his coat, WIS-TV reported. Greene
reportedly passed all the registers before he was stopped by the
employee, who then asked for the doll.

At that point, the package allegedly fell out from Greene's coat, presumedly deflating any chance for latex love.

The doll in question is officially known as the "Finally Mylie! Love Doll" and retails for $19.99.
