By Sayed Jawad - At least two people including a NATO service member and one NATO civilian member was killed following improvised explosive device blast in southern Afghanistan on Saturday.
NATO-led International Security Assistance Force following a statement announced, “One coalition forces service member and one coalition forces civilian died following an improvised explosive device attack in southern Afghanistan today. “
The source did not disclose further information regarding the exact location of the incident and nationalities of the deceased individuals.
International Security Assistance Force generally do not disclose identities of the NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan saying, “It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.”
At least 353 NATO service members including 271 US troops, 39 British troops and 43 soldiers from the other NATO member countries have been killed in Afghanistan since the beginning of 2012 in Afghanistan.
