Man Armed With Shotgun Robs Subway Sandwich Shop

A man wearing a rag with a picture of a skull and armed with a pump shotgun robbed a Subway store in Beaumont and struck one of the employees in the face before leaving with cash, according to Beaumont Police.

Employees said the attacker walked in through the back door of the Subway, 1125 S. 11th Street, at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. He was carrying a short barreled pump shotgun with a pistol grip. The man forced an employee to open the cash register while he made another employee walk to the back of the store and open the safe. The man struck one of the employees in the face with his shotgun. The employee received a cut under his eye. The man took cash and ran out through the rear door.

Witnesses say the gunman was a black man, dark complexion, 5'8"-5'10", dark pants and shirt, dark gloves, black and white tennis shoes, and wearing a rag around his face with what appeared to be a skull design.
