The manager of Famous Dave’s restaurant was shot Monday morning while on his way to deposit money, police said.

Jeffrey Randall, 28, was listed in fair condition at Toledo Hospital, a hospital official said.

Mr. Randall left the restaurant about 9:15 a.m. with two bags of money, got in his car, and headed for the bank, police said.

As he pulled out of the restaurant parking lot at 4757 Monroe St., a man with a gun ran out from behind a dumpster and shot him in the arm, police said.

Mr. Randall drove down Monroe and the suspect fled, police said.

The suspect was described as black, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighing 130 to 150 pounds. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt at the time of the shooting.
