My comment is made at 2:01 in the clip. If heroin is cheaper than food it might be because the authorities favour the heroin/pavot plantations more than wheat and rice plantations. What is worth a week of food and what is worth a week dose of heroin for an addict. What is going there is terrible but we don't know the real facts. I was mesmerized by this documentary and will view it until the end. I may comment later.

@Davaeron The heroin is from afghanistan. Its about 40 quid a gram in the UK, its 50p a gram in pakistan. Pakistanis go over to afghanistan and will do a days work in exchange for some heroin in the morning to get going and some heroin in the evening after work. Works out about a gram for a days work. If you dont have money or family to support you, thats usualy what the addicts do

Ah man, methadone and I go WAYYYYY back. Shit literally saved my life. If I didn't get on methadone, I would fr surely be dead or locked up. No doubt about it. But the problem with methadone is that it is to easy to get on. The clinic I go to, there is people on methadone for Vicodin addiction that is a year or two old.
