In August 1990 Saddam Hussein, had invaded and occupied the sovereign nation of Kuwait. The UN, driven by US pressure, had condemned the invasion and authorized a coalition of nations to form a military force to drive Iraqi forces out of Kuwait. This video shows the armored clash at a map coordinate designated "73 Easting" between US armored forces and the elite Iraqi "Tawalkana" tank division, dug in with a large force of modern Russian-made T-72 tanks.
