A forthcoming Channel 4 docu-drama asks what prompts well-educated British Muslims to become terrorists?
With ITV and the BBC in such hot water recently you might think Channel 4's relatively low profile meant it had decided to play it safe for a while.
But far from it. Next week, a two part drama will take on what would until recently have been a far fetched question. What makes young, well-educated people born in Britain become suicide bombers?
Britz, by the acclaimed film maker, Peter Kosminsky, concentrates not on Islamic extremism and indoctrination but the alleged provocations of British government policy.
And comes as movies on both sides of the Atlantic try to get to grips with terrorism and our responses to it.
After watching all four hours of Britz, I talked to the director Peter Kosminsky about whether he'd got the balance right. He told me he'd researched it for nine months - speaking to young British Muslims from around the country.
