  • Absolutely superb video. Greatest and rare moments filmed in colour.

  • That's WEIRD... Just a few days ago we were commemorating the dropping of the atomic bomb and it was 67 years ago, too....

    What a coincidence.

  • this is a holiday in Hawaii and Rhode Island to this day....all other states dropped the holiday as is was insensitive to Japan.

Hawaii = due to Japanese unprovoked attack on Pearl Harbor
Rhode Island = a very high percentage of servicemen & women from RI killed

  • Our enemies have learned not to face us directly on the battlefield. War is now asymmetrical, low-level, and never ending.

What about slavery for 200 yrs? What about Jim Crow? What about lynchings? Im just saying from I can see, there were clearly double standards in the quality of life ppl had. Sometimes, its better to live free and equal rather than live a life of inequality. I dont expect you to understand that.

  • See how that generation did so many things we cannot do today? Try riding on the hood of car nowadays! Try driving with ppl hanging on the outside of your car?

  • Wow! Great post. I was thinking that while so many died back then, they were all on e same page so-to-speak. Living in a time when life was appreciated and every day was a blessing. Now we need to be reminded from time-to-time how good we have it! Again great post!!
