    • @Christian IX Uh, dumb comment of the day award! Many citizens in Syria are Muslim, in fact the vast majority are Muslim. So yeah, an average Syrian citizen says God is great probably a hundred times a day.

  • I would say it is not a bad shot...Maybe the story is the following: since FSA films every attack, the SAA spotter detected the cameraman, gives coordinates to arti, they fire... we have seen recently some videos with precised SAA fire of mortar, rockets, etc... and we have seen hundreds of videos of random shooting with every kind of weapon by FSA...

  • You can tell that the reason they say "allahu akbar" so often is because they genuinely believe that they will be rewarded for their faith when they die if they praise God.

That guy started spamming it when a MASSIVE shell slammed near him. For all he knew, the next one would slam on him. So he started essentially praying. Instead of saying "Oh shit!" He said "allahu ackbar", just like I've said "Oh God, forgive me." when I've been close to dying severa More..

  • Incredible that this has gone on for more than two years. If anyone wants to see a map of what the current situation is, then wikipedia has several and regular updated ones.

And one big interactive map in the bottom.
