Interesting vid. Almost 30 min. but worth it for me. I was in Anchorage in 1970 and never knew about this history or the settlements that existed. May go back some day.

Lived in Alaska for nearly half of my life.
It was a great place to grow up. Though I lived in Anchorage, the biggest city in Alaska, it still is completely different from living in any other big city. Seeing bears, moose, wolves, and all kinds of animals even in downtown Anchorage isn't all that uncommon.
The most absolutely beautiful state and I suggest to anyone who enjoys the outdoors to please visit it sometime in your life. You won't regret it, trust me.

@Tommyr I would highly suggest going there someday if you can. It is the most beautiful state you will see. Go there during the winter, if you can handle the cold, and you'll be at a loss for words.
Witnessing the Aurora Borealis in person at night during a beautiful Alaska winter is something that is hard to describe with words.
