France: 4 of september 2011 in Paul Lafargue Street in Villeurbanne

Before begining to rampage his appartment, The 41-year-old man stabed with a knife the owner of a shop in the street then attacked a woman with a short hammer before barricading at home.

The mentally ill maniac had been released the day before from a psychiatric hospital. Her wife and daughter had just left him earlier.

He then decided to move all his furnitures through the window : refrigerator, microwave, bed, bed base, window, dishes etc. (four cars in the street are damaged).

After 2 hours, the GIPN ( Local SWAT ) intervened, but the man waited for them with knives. After resisting the arrest, the maniac was evacuated unconscious, with his face and his arms covered with blood. He was under breathing assistance.
