Alligator found and caught in YMCA swimming pool

September 28, 2007 COCOA, Fla.
An attendant at the Cocoa YMCA found an alligator in the club's pool before dawn.
The 3 1/2 foot gator caused quite a stir with the attendants.

"That gator just took off after her. She was walking around the back of the pool back there and the gator was in the middle and it just started swimming as fast as it could," attendant Tim Philpot said about another YMCA employee. "It got to that side and Barbara started screaming like a little girl."

Officials called animal control services and they called in a trapper to handle the gator.

The trapper said it will likely be returned to the wild.
