BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- Officer from the Boynton Beach Police Department. According the DEA, Federal Investigators charged Britto with trafficking methamphetamine's. Investigators say they found a large amount of drugs in Britto's possession. If convicted, he could face life in prison.

Here's some more information about Britto. It comes from a new release announcing Britto as Boynton's police officer of the year for 2010. He joined the department in March of 2007. He has also been an instructor in the Boynton Beach Police department's teen police academy.

A spokesperson for the Boynton Beach Police department tells CBS 12 they cannot comment on Britto's arrest.
