Aside from ceding sovereignty, there is another big picture to paint.

Loss of this base would drastically under-mine the general UK nuclear defense capability. Watch what happens if and when Scotland gets independence (re: splitting small countries and then signing them up to a bigger group for global governance)."

Extraditing BRITISH citizens to an overseas court for trial? Handing over British citizens to a foreign country without charge? This is not a matter of exoneration or blame, it is a serious breach of justice which will set an extremely dangerous precedent.
