Debate Proposed to the Hebrew University Student Association - 'integrity
or lack thereof of the electronic records of the State of Israel'

As a former student, and a "legacy" to top it off, I proposed to lecture
and debate under the Student Association, Department of Social Engagement,
on the subject, 'Integrity, or lack thereof, of the electronic records of
the courts of the State of Israel.' The lecture and debate should be of
interest to students and faculty in Linguistics, Computer Science,
Political Science, Law, and Jewish Studies.

Jerusalem, October 6 – Joseph Zernik, PhD, of Human Rights Alert (NGO),
filed a proposal with Mr Roy Perlman, Head of the Social Engagement
Department of the Hebrew University Student Association, for a lecture and
debate on the subject, 'Integrity, or lack thereof, of the electronic
records of the courts of the State of Israel".
Two peer-reviewed papers, recently presented in an international Data
Analytics conference, were provided as the scholarly basis for the
lecture.
Dr Zernik also noted with his proposal that he consulted in the matter
with senior faculty members in Hebrew University, Bar Ilan University, Tel
Aviv, and Weitzman Institute, and that a senior member of the Hebrew
University filed, based on such studies, a request for Halachic ruling by
Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, Is the Supreme Court of the State of Israel engaged
in large-scale public deception [גניבת
דעת הציבור]?
The letter proposed that such presentation and debate may be of interest
to students in linguistics, computer science, law, Jewish studies, and
more.

Mr Roy Perlman, Head
Social Engagement Department
Hebrew University Student Association

Dear Mr Perlman:

In case there is a students' debate club, or any similar forum in Hebrew
University, organized by students, I would be glad to appear anytime with
advance coordination to present matters that pertain to the fundamentals
of Civilized Society in the State of Israel, detailed below.
My most recent lectures, in the international Data Analytics conference
(computer science), were based on the two papers, linked below. [1,2] The
papers were subjected to a special, rigorous peer-review perocess (4-5
reviewer for each paper), and I had to satisfy each comment of each
reviewer.
My lectures are a bit different from the papers in slide presentations. I
DON'T go into all the technical details that are in the papers and in
online appedices. Instead, I DO dwell more on the general theoretical
concepts, which lie in the area between language, computers (encryption),
law, and political science. In reference to the law, I also try to
provide some Jewish law perspectives.
I have discussed some parts of the findings and conclusions with top
Israeli academic scholars in Bar Ilan, Hebrew University, Weitzmann
Institute.
A senior member of the faculty of Hebrew University issued, based on part
of my findings, a Halachic She'iltah on Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz: Is the
Supreme Court of Israel engaged on Geneivat Daat HaTzibur (Large-scale
Public Deception) ?
The leading legal journal in Israel, Mishpatim, agreed to accept a paper
in Hebrew (yet to be produced) for editorial review.
