Micah Turner announces defection from US Army at Freedom Plaza

Micah Turner announced on October 6, 2012 at an Occupy DC rally on Freedom Plaza trhat he has defected from the US Army, having been AWOL for weeks. After giving a 25 minute interview, he immediatly left the area, well ahead of any reaction team. I doubt that the DC police would enforce military law, but a pretext arrest for anything ELSE would be dangerous. If MPs show up at Freedom Plaza, they will be late by many hours.

Video is clips from the statement Micah Turner made at Freedom Plaza intercut with all of the video files from his "Titans Rise" video CD, which his supporters are asking everyone to distribute as widely as possible. Therefore all the clips from the disk are in this video, edited only to fit the frame.and with one later clip run immediately after the opening statement on Freedom Plaza due to its relevancy to that statement.

  • As a deserter he'll have to run and hide for the rest of his life, the military has a long memory. We'll see if he's committed to a life underground.

    • @rakkasans I don't think the military would mess with, say, someone who had deserted during Vietnam today, and of course they won't be looking in countries w/o a Status of Forces agreement or an outright US occupation for anyone.

Those deserters who didn't accept the amnesty offer are still in jeopardy for arrest an incarceration...the military never closes the book.     • @rakkasans Micah is far better off than all the GI's driven to suicide by the war, no matter how you slice it. Yes, it's a lifetime commitment, but that's just called being serious.

      If you don't drive and treat cops as enemy soldiers at all times, you become almost immune to traffic stops. Almost all random contact with cops by white Americans is over driving a car.

The bullies here are trying to shut me up, to turn Liveleak into a place where only KKKonservatives are allowed to post without being bullied off the air.
