Israeli military police threaten and kick 9 year old child
This took place in Israeli occupied Hebron. The event was filmed from the window of a B'Tselem human rights volunteer that document Israeli activities in Hebron.
Rahman Burkan age 9, lives nearby. The Israeli soldier ambushes the kid, grabs him and drag him on the ground while threatening him. Another Israeli soldier comes and kicks him. The policeman then releases his grip on the boy and he runs away, and the two officers leave as well, apparently they were content after threatening and kicking the boy.

He must have been throwing stones. A childhood past time i loved. It was very satisfying pinging the British land rovers with small stones. In fact they seemed to enjoy our weak efforts as well. Wouldn't have threw anything if they were walking on patrol though. In fact they would have played a bit of football on the odd occasion. Those Israeli guys should chill out. Really, all you claiming (!) the boy threw stones: even if this were true, this is not the way to treat a nine year old boy, ambushing him and kicking him, two grown men. You might kick a dog, but a small boy? It's degrading, demeaning.

Or is it the good ol' backward logic: the soldiers kicked him, that is proof he did something, even if there is nothing in the video?
And yes, if I feel threatened by a dog, I do kick it. It's called selfdefence, and I don't see why two grown up Israeli soldiers with assault rifles should feel threatened by a little boy.

no some of the soldiers are quite nice to be honest with you. i just hate the ones like these 2. if he were truly doing wrong they could have done the moral thing and taken him to his parents and told them next time he is caught (if in fact he was throwing stones) he is going to jail. there is no excuse for running up and kicking him.

Yes it looks horrible but in all fairness, all he got was a little kick, a slap on the wrist basically. Had he been truly traumatized he would not have been able to 'run' after his 'ordeal'
If he had thrown a stone at Palestinian soldiers, he would have received the same and probably more.
I am an arab from the middle east and i know for a fact that the local police or army would not hesitate to slap you or beat you if you are out of order, regardless of your age.

they arrest children anyways....and i wouldnt be complaining if they simply did the most moral thing and taken him in custody and asked him where he lived and taken him to his parents and let them know next time he was throwing stones at the soldiers he would go to jail. its that simple. no need to grab him and kick him. not very moral if you ask me, especially coming from the most moral army in the world
