Cop assaults protester and retreats at DC anticapitalist march
On the 29th of June, as a march that passed ALEC, BP, and Monsanto was ending, some of the protesters decided to literally dance in the streets. As cops tried to push them out, one of the cops gets out of his van, strikes one of the protesters with an open hand, then turns around and quickly retreats to his van.
The march was organized by Occupy DC, the Occupy Caravan, and the Anarchist Alliance-DC Network

@ChumCannon Some of us don't qualify for public housing, etc due to legal reasons or incomes too LOW. Also, government is defined as a monopoly of armed force within society. This monopoly is not a prerequisite to the delivery of social service.
For instance, Hezbollah is not the government of Lebanon, but runs schools, hospitals and other services. They have arms, but not a monoply of arms as someone else is the government and there are other militias.
