A twin engine plane had to make an emergency landing Friday after the pilot was able contact airport officials to let them know he was having mechanical problems.

Without one of three wheels of the landing gear deployed, and with fire and emergency crews lining the runway, the pilot brought down the twin engine plane just before noon Friday.

The pilot injured his head -- not in the landing, but while trying to get off the plane.
