A man in a hooded sweatshirt walks up to a group of men standing in front of a market. He pulls a gun, people scatter and the suspect shoots another man at point-blank range.

Gilberto Sandoval, 20, survived, but he was struck numerous times in the upper body.

On Wednesday, Bakersfield police released surveillance video of last Thursday's shooting at Payless Market, located at the intersection of 8th and P streets. Anyone with information on the shooter is being asked to call Detective Martin Heredia at (661) 326-3873.
