believe I’m a potential buyer of their goods, which includes castings, molds, patterns,

and even production machinery and contract services. I’m not, of course, but this is

cold calling: there must be some level of response that makes it worth the trouble for

them to keep trying. To me, it’s anecdotal evidence of the inevitability of a global

supply chain.

  • WTF does BHO have to do with outsourcing to China?

    Read some history. It was Richard Nixon (R) who opened the door to trade with China. (not like we weren't already selling our jobs to Japan.

    Drop the partisan shit and buy/build American, or just realize that in the global economy that to equalize, the rest of the world is going to get better and the US standard of living will have to adjust downward.

    • I have been saying it before, here in my posts and outside in the real world. It comes down to the individual consumer, myself I always buy American (or at least try) and in some cases if there is no an US made made alternative I won't buy anything at all.

      Yes it may cost more, but overall and generally the quality of American made goods is better. Let me give you an example, US made plastic containers, are a little more expensive than Chinesse made, but by just looking and feeling the Americ More..

    • No, some local Indian TV station reported the cost would be 200 million Rupees. Fixed News translated it into 200 million Dollars, 41 warships, an entire hotel and a fuckton of more stuff they just added for the hell of it.
      200 million Rupees is about 5 million Dollars, which is on par with what it tends to cost when american presidents travel abroad.
      Fixed News, (and the rest of the right wing media circus) messed up. Didn't see anyone admitting they made it up though after the story was debunk More..

  • This did not happened in 2 years. This happened 30 years ago.

    In the beginning, perhaps USA Inc. went to China for its cheap labor. But today, USA Inc. goes to China because the market there is huge, much bigger than USA. GM sells more cars in China than in US. USA needs China more than the reverse.

    So, my question is are American willing to tighten their belt and compete or just keep crying like a pussy, waiting to be kancho'ed.
