Maypole ceremony at DC Mayday festival and march 

Part of DC's Mayday festival and march was a traditional Maypole ceremony. Mayday is not only the Pagan holiday marking the beginning of summeer, it has been since the Haymarket riots or even before an occasion to commemorate militant labor struggles. There were labor disruptions and protests all over the US on May 1, with a battle fought between protesters and police in Oakland and a massive march by Occupy Wall Street in NYC.

      I did not upload ANY links in my text or in my video. Any link you clicked or preroll you encountered came from the site and did NOT come from me. In the old Youtube days I always rejected "monetization" of my videos, turning down their pennies offered in return for throwing ads at user's computers.
