The Canadian football (soccer) team was abused and pelted with toilet paper, bags full of urine and soda bottles as they played an official FIFA game in one of Latin America's toughest & most violent cities, San Salvador (El Salvador).

Salvadoran TV refused to play a "re-play" of the lone Canadian goal, while they played 6 re-plays on each of El Salvador's 4 goals. The Canadian team had to be escorted by armored police vehicles in and out of San Salvador's Cuscatlan Stadium.
