10-Year-Old Girl Arrested For Bringing Kitchen Knife To School
Florida, A 10-year old Ocala girl brought her lunch to school and a small kitchen knife to cut it. She now faces a felony charge after being arrested. (12/14/07)

Wow, just wow so dumb. Kinda dumb on both sides but shes only 10. I mean comon, ive seen people get slashed with a broken spork. Would it have been diferent if she brought a butter knife?

In finnish schools all students are armed with knives, forks and spoons by government to eat food provided by government. What if there is mutiny in cafeteria? So many students armed with knives and forks!

I assume there are no knives and other cutlery in the cafeteria in the first place and that you get everything nicely sliced up for you.
Maybe they have only hamburgers in cafeteria? :)

The teacher and staff who called the cops have about as much sense as a box of rocks, its just plain stupidity for the school districts to continue with this no tolerance policy its not working. Kids still somehow get weapons on campus and hurt other kids. Then kids inocently bring silverware to school to cut there meals and are paying the steep price of our collective stupidity.

HOLY SHIT! I just found a bunch of weapons in my kitchen utensil drawer.....
I'd like to know how these people eat their steaks. Do they jab the fork in the middle and eat it like it's a fat skewer of meat as the juices run down their hands, or do they just rip the meat apart with their hands and teeth? ******* savages!

a kitchen knife is not a weapon until it is brandished with intent to do harm.
many sandwiches fall prey to kitchen knives and we hear nothing about it.
