In politics, as of today, do you consider yourself a Republican, a Democrat, or an independent? (Asked of independents: As of today, do you lean more to the Democratic Party or the Republican Party?)
Selected Trend on Party Affiliation: 2004-2009
As of the most recent Gallup Poll, Republicans have drawn even with Democrats in party affiliation.
The dems had an 11 pts lead as recently as last month.
When you include independents who lean in one direction, they're tied as well at 45%. Last month the dems lead by 19 at 53-34.
A 19 shift in a month, that looks like a collapse in approval for the democrats, the Republicans actually gained..LOL!
But I'm sure Newsweek and Time can continue to trumpet the death of the GOP, as their market share and ad revenue go down the toilet and Newsweek all but admits it's failed as magazine by abandoning its format to become a liberal version of The Economist(good luck with that).
Couple this with recent polls showing support for gun rights and the pro life cause at their highest levels ever...and that's positive movement for Republicans. Especially so early in to a new term.
I'm sure we'll hear all about this on the new tonight and it will a cover story in Newsweek, Time, the NYT, etc...
Well, not the NYT. Their star columnist was just exposed as a plagiarist, only a ffew years after one of their star reporters was exposed as such, and while their stock price has plunged to its lowest level ever and lost 90% of its value.
The Polls ALSO shows the MAJORITY of Americans oppose most everything Obama (Miserable Failure)has done as far as policy...LOL!
