The Long Beach peninsula in Washington State spans an incredible 30+ miles of untamed, drivable beach which fills with excited, lighter-happy alcohol-fueled fire-enthusiasts on the 4th of July.

This craze lasts late into the night. When the darkness falls the city does their and many people seem to try to compete all the while.

The air is so thick with smoke it is pretty difficult to breathe at times.

Anyone close should most definitely try to make it once at least.
