HOUSTON – Four suspects were taken into custody after police said
they held up a bank just north of downtown Houston on Wednesday morning.
It happened sometime before 10 a.m. at a Wells Fargo Bank in the
2700-block of Fulton Street, according to the Houston Police Department.
As soon as the call dropped, two HPD officers spotted the suspects’ silver Chevy sedan near the bank.

“I was hearing the police officers yelling out to the suspects,
telling them to throw the keys out of the car,” said witness Jose
Trevino. “There were four suspects in the car. I could hear the yelling
from inside my house, and that’s more than a hundred feet away.”
Police were able to recover the stolen money, which was stacked in
the front passenger seat of the getaway vehicle. Investigators said they
also found binoculars, duct tape, and cable ties in the car.
Police said one of the suspects may be connected to a murder.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation assisted HPD with the case.
