The sketch was performed in 1976 and the whole show was first broadcasted as "Her Majesty's pleasure". The secret policeman's balls were done for Amnesty International over the years, and mainly organised by John Cleese.

At the ending, he says "actually she used quiet a lot of it and me and Michael thought about sueing her for copyright infringment as a joke of course"
