@gosst60 Very true, my friend. I've no idea why they did this. We've no carriers for 10 years and we'll get American aircraft to man them - VTOLs as well !

Ha Ha!! "Nothing came out of the explosion that was bigger than a dinner plate".
You hear that, Miss Bitch Argentinian Fugly?
Did anyone read about Cameron refusing a letter of demands from that Argy c#@t? I bet that was a real choker and a massive embarrassment for the argies.

@CargeLock That Kirchner will lead that country to chaos.
Shes got every patriot in Argentina convinced the Falklands belongs to them 'because its close'. They all forget that without defeat in the Falklands they may well live under a Fascist military dictatorship to this day, maybe Galtieris son, in a North Korea style.
Shes trying the EXACT trick that that Fascist murderer Galtieri tried, to use the Falklands as a 'dont look at the nations trouble, look over there' issue.
Well no matter, it More..

@unique sheep Nigel 'Sharkey' Ward is an outspoken legend of the Fleet Air Arm.
He wrote a book about commanding the SHAR force in the Falklands and its a superb read.
'Sea Harrier Over the Falklands, A Maverick at War'
He was not a happy chap about how his assets were deployed, and I think his book and views cost him career wise, sadly.

Sean Bean rules. If he hadn't played 006 he would have been 007. Not like I'm somplaining about the current one.

There was a Harrier for sale a few years ago on eBay. The auction got pulled even though the plane was de-weaponized (no engine or anything related to weapons). Yes I did bid on it. Too bad. That would have been a cool lawn ornament. The rationale was that it was in good enough shape to make it combat worthy again. Fair enough I guess.
