  • This guy is a fool, standing up and heckling someone during a speech should not warrant a reply and McCain was right for calling him a jerk. This isnt to under evaluate the USS Liberty killings where questions still do remain till today but it shouldn’t be approached like this

    The USS Liberty attack occurred 44 years ago in 1967. Don't you think it is time to stop obsessing?

    When the news broke in 1867, it was HUGE. There was all kinds of public outcry. I also believe the attack was deliberate and it was atrocious. The manner in which the ship was attacked and the length of time the attack went on, coupled with the fact that two Israeli pilots refused to attack the ship, sealed the deal for me.       Israel acknowledged it 44 years ago! They forked out millions of dollars to families of the dead and wounded. In total, (by todays standards) it was around 44 million dollars total. They made public apologies. I agree, that was not nearly enough. The U.S. government should have retaliated in some way and with a heavy hand.

      But if acknowledgement is what you want, it was given WAY back in the 60's, even if Israel did call it a "mistake".

      The USS Liberty incident is being disgraced by these reposters who are trying to use the incident to insight hatred against Israel.

      They try to unravel a simple case of over-zealous piloting and friendly fire communications breakdown into some huge false flag conspiracy.
