ASTONISHING police footage has been
released of two men leading police on a 180km/h chase and allegedly carjacking two innocent motorists yesterday.
It is alleged two men, aged 20 and 24, stole four vehicles, which included carjacking a man and woman, and made several attempts to steal other vehicles before they were finally arrested.
Police said the pursuit reached speeds of up to 180km/h and it was fortunate that no one was killed or seriously injured.
The crime spree began in Mt Gambier where the men stole a white Holden Commodore, police said.
Police pursued the men on Riddoch Hwy, Naracoorte, about 1.30pm, but had to call off the high-speed chase.
It is alleged the men abandoned the Commodore at Keith before stealing a maroon Holden Commodore.
That car was later dumped at Mt Barker, where the two men carjacked a four-wheel drive from a man and drove to Adelaide, police said.
Police managed to spike the car's tyres, but the two men allegedly continued driving on deflated tyres until it collided with a vehicle and trailer at the toll gate on the South-Eastern Freeway, about 4.10pm.
The four-wheel drive was abandoned and although the driver tried to flee, he was arrested after a chase through peak-hour traffic.
It is alleged the other man carjacked a Volkswagen Golf from a 22-year-old woman while she was still in the car, pushing her into the passenger seat, and then driving at high-speed along Cross Rd.
She was released after about two minutes and the man drove off before crashing
into a fence at Springbank Rd, Panorama, police said.
The man then allegedly tried to carjack other vehicles in the area, eventually giving up and running through several backyards until he was arrested.
The 24-year-old man was charged with breach of bail, two counts of illegal use of a motor vehicle and aggravated robbery.
The 20-year-old man was charged with three counts of illegal use, two counts of aggravated robbery, assault with intent to rob, unlawfully on premises and resisting police.Police want to speak with motorists who were approached by one of the men near Unley Rd, Belair Rd and Springbank Rd, Panorama.
Anyone with information about these incidents should contact BankSA Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.sa.crimestoppers.com.au

I don't know why we Americans get so bent about beating the fuck out of these people; it's well-deserved.

@Tommyr Or is it "WE LOVE when these twats get beaten. Thanks for asking cunt!"? I think it works fine both ways.

SHOOT these cocksuckers once caught. I mean it. Just shoot them and get it over with. THAT would be REAL justice.

@SpeckFettGulag The cops down here don't have anywhere near the experience or skills of US cops, although they have all the same type of equipment. As for the fence-post, our fence-posts are trained to co-operate with police when required and that particular fence-post will be getting an award for it's assistance to police.
