  • Yeah, I had seen this video before...and it is still spot-on.

    The Republican party was founded to stop the spread of slavery and eventually abolish it and they became the main opposition to the Democrats (especially in the South.)

    Even after the Civil war, Democrats still limited blacks with Jim Crow laws and now, their racism takes the form of keeping blacks dependent on the government because Democrats need their votes.

    Someone should interview blacks on the streets and ask some devious questions of them, like, "was MLK(or Lincoln or Douglass) a democrat or a Republican?" I'd bet $100 the majority of black Americans are so propagandized that they now believe them all to have been democrats.

    • @NotJim I love it when Republicans bring up Lincoln. Considering he was all about bringing the south back into the fold, limiting state's rights, and solidifying federal power. The two parties are far different today from what the were a century and a half ago.

      Lincoln was first and foremost doggedly anti-slavery, consistently so throughout his life and career.

      As for States' rights, Lincoln knew the Federal government was limited by the Constitution and had sought all along NOT to force an end to slavery in existing States but only to prevent its spread More..
