Actually if you have an AK-74, not the 47 - the only ammo you might be able to find might be corrosive (it will say non-corrosive or CORROSIVE on the ammo box). If so you need to pour hot hot water down the barrel and on the bolt face, anywhere the corrosive primer elements might have touched. Water is almost the only liquid that dissolves corrosive ammo residue but you'd want to have compressed air available to blow out the gun. But for an AK, which mostly has non-corrosive ammo only for sale, this is not the way to clean it.
