China riots: 156 People Killed As Muslim Separatists Go On The Rampage In Xinjiang
Fighting spread to a second city in China today in the restive Xinjiang province after earlier clashes left at least 156 dead and almost 1,000 injured.
As a result, Chinese authorities took no chances and poured armed police into the ancient Silk Road city of Kashgar to try and stop further deadly street battles.
It followed Sunday's ethnic violence in the provincial capital of Urumqi - the bloodiest civil unrest since the Tiananmen Square massacre 20 years ago.
