Police chase criminal on moped - UK 15mph style

Undramatic yet strangely entertaining. It's like watching in slo-mo.
James Phillips, 22, of Southmead, used his 50cc Piaggio moped to try and escape from police through a housing estate in Bristol, but mostly only used a speed of 15 mph.

    • @Lockout732 100% correct. American officers need to learn from this. No need to be fucktards about someone surrendering.

    • @Lockout732 You are 100% correct. If you watch the lastest 3 episodes of COPS (raw police video TV show in USA), there is a black guy with a gun on a bike and the cops tell him to stop. He doesn't and the black cop jumps out, runs and pushes him straight into the dirt as he is going full speed on the bike. Very funny, but youre right :D

And yes, the cop driver got out and had the tazer right to him "Don't move or you will be tazed". They were very cool and talked to him... but arres More..

    • @qwerty4242 no im not.. i have a very dim view of the police in the united states.

I've even seen two examples of it with my own eyes.

this does not mean that all cops in the US are aggressive, but i would say more than 50% feel that any kind of challenge to their authority should also be punished, in addition to the crime committed, and exact a form of "justice" immediately.

My assumption is that the police officer will be like the ones in the movies, all to help the communit More..

  • If this was in American he'd have been piledrived, beaten with batons, and mounted by half a dozen fat fuckers decked out in Navy blue before being cuffed.

One or two would have copped a feel while he was subdued on the ground too.

No, the guys who designed the training are most responsible.
Then the shaved nazi machos that actually do the training.
The street cop is just a sad joe that behaves like he is told.
If a dog bites people it's not the dog's fault but the trainers inability.

    • @blackanese I watched a few videos of ROAD WARS (UK version of COPS in the US) -- I see drunk guys stabbing and fighting on there every episode almost. No guns, but they just go to the next most weapons, the knife more than I see in the US for sure. The UK has tons and tons of drunken pub stabbings, look it up

  • This isn't a moped, folks. It's a scooter. Mopeds have pedals.

If you ride it like a bicycle, it's a moped. If you ride it like a toilet, it's a scooter.

In the UK a moped is any motorbike <50cc + < 50km/h top speed, whether it has pedals or not.

    • @masterbaker Not exactly.... the most popular MOPED in the US is a 50cc moped YAMAHA ZUMA. Google it. They are both motorized, but a scooter has a separation of the legs, while a moped places both feet in front of you below the handlebars. A scooter is like a small motorcycle with a smaller moped-sized engine basically. Kind of the same thing as a moped but one leg goes on each side of the seat, so same thing really so who cares.

But, A moped is a yamaha zuma (used all over the earth, and ca More..

    • @qwerty4242

      First line in wikipedia:

The Zuma is an air-cooled 49 cc two-stroke scooter made by Yamaha Motor Company.

It's a scooter. A moped has pedals. Some people might mistakenly call a scooter a moped, but it's still a scooter. Mo (motor) ped (pedal). It's that simple.

Passive is right, in the UK everyone makes this mistake, to the point where the language has changed. But there is a difference.
